Today my Jim is 32. I know no one cares about turning 32, it's not really a big deal. But for me this year it is a big deal because during his 32nd year on earth, Jim has grown more than he has any other year of his life. Just before his last birthday, God really began to reveal Jim's heart to himself. Yes, he was already a Christian, but anyone who has walked with the Lord for any length of time knows that a life after God is a second by second journey. Sometimes we get it right and other times we don't know which was is up. This year, Jim has really begun seeking with God how to get it right all the time.
It has been amazing to see this change and growth in Jim. It has been such a blessing to our family to see him really begin to own his role as leader of our home. He has grown to love being at home again, to being a husband and father to the family he has been given. We are so blessed to have Jim in these roles.
Thank You, Father, for Jim. Thank You for giving him to our family as the head of our home. Thank You for the work You are doing in his life and in all of our lives because of Jim. Please continue to grow Jim into the image of Your Son, Jesus, each and every day. Guide him in all of his steps.
