This book was part of our Core B curriculum through Sonlight. It was a very short read that follows Iliona's as she becomes a slave in Rome and what that her life looks like. There are some challenging parts as you see life from a slave's perspective, but it is appropriate for kids. It gives a little glimpse into the Roman empire and how it works as well. My kids really seemed to enjoy it and I enjoyed reading it to them.
