Kids Who Love to Clean

My kids love to clean. No really, they do. Sometimes I wonder where they came from because I cannot say that about myself. In fact, I hate it. But I love that my kids love it!

Because of this I am stoked that Norwex has the Kids EnviroCloth and Kids Window Cloth on sale this month! Slightly smaller versions of the EnviroCloth and Window Cloth, they are perfectly sized for little hands to use and still get an excellent clean. Product Spotlight #10

The Cleaning Paste (p. 18) from Norwex is the magic eraser that lasts forever. It comes in a solid block and it only takes a little bit to do the job. Used with the Scrubby Corner Cloth (p.7), tough stains and stuck on grime become easy to remove! My stove had a LOT of burnt on debris. Cleaning Paste, Scrubby Corner Cloth and a couple minutes of elbow grease cleaned it off and made it look almost new!

Cleaning Paste is also excellent at using to polish and protect many types of surfaces, such as chrome, porcelain and stainless steel. (Should not be used on Brushed stainless steel.) With the holidays near by you may be bringing out your silver to use for parties and events. Use Cleaning Paste to shine it right up, ready to serve with confidence that there is nothing toxic on your serving pieces.

We love the Cleaning Paste in our house as it has removed spots from all kinds of surfaces, and when you have 7 kids that's very important! Product Spotlight #9

Today I want to share with you a great special for customers in August with one of my Top 10 favorite products: Kitchen Cloths/Kitchen Towels.

Both the kitchen towel and cloth are wonderful for drying dishes. They are super absorbent and can handle drying a sink full of dishes with no problems. They do a great job drying, better than any other kitchen towel I had previously used. The dry quickly and efficiently and after hanging them up they quickly dry out for use the next time we need them. They are excellent for quickly drying spills on the table, floor or counter as the microfibers absorb so much liquid. Product Spotlight #8

Today I want to share with you the Microfiber Variety Pack (MVP) that is part of this months Microfiber Magic customer special. (p. 7) This pack includes a smaller version of the Envirocloth, Window Cloth and Body Cloth with a clear pouch for carrying them. I have shared about each of these products previously and how much our family loves and uses all of them.

So what makes the variety pack special? You have a small set ready to carry with you anywhere you go! Product Spotlight #7

It's July and this month is Mop Month with Norwex! So today I thought I would share about why our family loves the Superior Mop System (p.13) from Norwex. This is Jim's second favorite product and on the Top 10 list from Norwex.

The mop system come with a Telescopic Handle, Large Mop Base, Large Wet Mop, and Large Superior Dry Mop. This system is wonderful for all types of hard floors and can also be used for cleaning high ceilings and windows. The handle can also be put on the Envirowand (p.18) to dust higher areas easily.

The Superior Mop System is wonderful because there is no need for chemicals. You can clean your floor with nothing by water. This keeps sticky residue from building up on the floor and also keeps from needing to avoid walking on a floor for a length of time for it to fully dry. One of the things I have always hated about mopping the floor is having my feet stick to it after mopping it for sometimes 2 days after. No more of this! The Wet Mop Pad also contains BacLock helping to prevent the growth of bacteria and mold.

The Dry Superior Mop Pad is ideal for picking up small particles missed by brooms and vacuum cleaners with it's static charge. The microfiber is perfectly designed for this. I recommend getting the Rubber Brush (p. 16) to help with cleaning the Dry Superior Mop Pad between laundering.

We use it in our kitchen primarily since we mostly have carpet. But for houses that are full of hard wood or tile, this is a very worthwhile investment.

Another great special from Norwex this month includes the Travel Pack (p.6).

The Travel Pack come with 4 compact sized Envirocloths and a pouch to carry them in. This is great to keep in a purse or diaper bag for many purposes. Going shopping and not sure about your cart handle? Wipe it off with your Travel Pack cloth. Kids with sticky hands? Wipe them off with your Travel Pack cloth. Spill something on your shirt? Product Spotlight #5 (June Specials)

One of this months customer specials with Norwex features the Envirocloth (p.6) and Window Cloth (p.10). Today I want to share with you why our family loves our Window Cloth and why it pairs so well with the Envirocloth.

The Window Cloth works amazingly on windows, silver, jewelry and really any shiny surface to give you a nice clean and clear finish. After using our Window Cloth we could see clearly through the windows and the sunlight beamed through as I have never seen before.

With 6 kids there are always finger prints all over our windows. We use our Envirocloth to remove the grime that comes along with kids' finger prints and use the Window Cloth to shine it up. They are a great team!

You can clean the window with only spritzing water and wiping with the Window Cloth and it works quite well, especially if you don't have kids' hands all over them! But I really like the combo for a nice clean.

Product Spotlight #4

Getting back to my Top 10 List, I want to share the Envirocloth (p.6) with you today.

The EnviroCloth is great! It is the most versatile cleaning product I have ever used and works wonders on such a variety of surfaces anywhere from the kitchen to the bathroom to the car. Being able to clean with just the cloth and water is wonderful. Don't have to worry about using harmful chemicals and it works great. An added bonus is being able to hand it to the kids and let them go clean without worrying about them using the cleaning products. The Envirocloth has changed the way we clean and has made us more inclined to clean!

I'm also a huge fan because being pregnant often has hindered how much I can clean since most cleaners are not safe for women who are pregnant to use or inhale. I would have to ask others to help and stay clear of the rooms they were cleaning. Now it's not a problem (except for the baby being in the way :) ) I can pick up an Envirocloth, wet it and clean quickly and easily in very little time.

Product Spotlight #3

Today I'm taking a pause from my Top 10 list to share about the Norwex Car Wash Mitt (p. 57). This is a two-sided mitt that dose a great job of picking up up dirt and grime

Our family recently got to try out the Car Wash Mitt washing our 12 passenger van and it did a great job! We did not have access to a hose so no pre-rinse like Norwex recommends, and it still cleaned the entire van with one rinse of the mitt during it. I love it!

Jim says:
The car mitt works great and is very easy to use. When we used it, it washed the dirt and road grime off with such ease, even when our 6 year old daughter was using it! It worked wonderfully. I would recommend getting the car cloth to use with it to help keep water spots from forming after you wash your car.  It was great being able to wash the car with just the mitt and water, didn't have to mess with soap or rinsing the car off after we scrubbed it down. Have to love being able to do it all in basically one step!

Product Spotlight #2

Today I want to share my #2 from my Top 10 Norwex List, the X-Large Bath Towel (p. 53).

This towel is amazing and has been such a blessing to me. I hate feeling wet or damp. One of the things I hate with exiting the shower is not really being able to get dry. With the Norwex X-Large Bath Towel I can get my body dry! No more clothes sticking to my skin or skin drying out from air drying! I actually feel clean when I leave the shower now!

Between the Body Pack and the Bath Towel, showers have completely changed for me. I cannot recommend them enough!

Body Pack

I cannot tell you how much I love the Body Pack. It has changed showering for me! I used to hate trying to get clean in the shower because I just couldn't get clean. Maybe that sounds weird to you, but really all the soaps I tried always left me feeling gross. I didn't know why. A couple years ago I began learning more about what's in body soaps and it made sense. There is oil in them that coats your skin and does not allow it to breathe! There are also chemicals that can dry out skin and cause irritation.

Now that I have a body pack, I don't have this problem anymore! My skin feels clean and it's able to do what God created it to do because there aren't oils and chemicals coating it. I just use my body cloth and water from the shower to clean. It's wonderful! When you have a house full of kids it also cuts shower time when you need it. Added bonus!

Maybe you have sensitive skin or dry skin. Maybe cleaning products bother you and you cannot find a good product for cleaning your skin. These are great for you as well. They are made with the Norwex microfiber so they are soft and gentle on skin while removing up to 99% of pathogens that are on your skin.

After using the cloth rinse it out thoroughly and hang it up to dry. It's ready the next day!

Think Green Think Beyond Yourself: Happy Earth Day

Earlier this month I shared about Thinking Green to Save Green, but today I really want to focus on how thinking green is learning to think beyond yourself.

There are a lot of personal benefits to using more reusable products and less of the disposable, as I have shared before, but as a mother of 7 who is earnestly seeking to live out love your neighbor as yourself before my kids and teaching them to live the same way, I'm finding that living a "green" lifestyle is as much about loving your neighbor as it is about dollars and cents.

As I look at some of the information out there about earth day, it is evident that improving the planet is the primary focus. But why should we bother improving the planet at all? When we do our part to take care of the planet, we are loving our neighbor as ourselves. For every reusable bottle, every cloth napkin, every reusable bag we carry with us we are saying I love others more than myself, more than my convenience.

I do want to say I don't condemn the use of disposable products and even use these things myself on occasion. It is not evil! And the way many things are made it is difficult to completely get away from disposable products. But it is clear from much research that the more of this we use, the more damage we are doing to our planet, the more damage we are doing to others and to the generations to come.

The basic commands in Scripture are to love God and love others. We are also charged by God to care for the earth. Again, I condemn nothing, but the more I look into everything out there, the more I realize that there are many things we can to do to love others and some of those ways is to decrease disposable waste where we can, stop using so many chemicals and recycle when we do use plastic, glass and aluminum products.

I'm thankful for Norwex in helping me to do at least the first 2 things and that we have recycling in our city so that the little bit of plastic from their bottled products can be recycled.

Think Green Save Green: April is Earth Month!

April is Earth month where we learn about ways to reduce waste and be more responsible in taking care of our Earth. Just under 4 years ago I wrote some personal observations on this topic and reading over it today I realize how much more I am convinced of our need to use more reusable products and decrease our waste. It is one of several reasons I have become an independent Norwex consultant. By using Norwex products with only water we are helping to take care of our environment by reducing the amount of plastic we use as well as the chemicals that are released into the environment.

As I read my previous post, I was also reminded how thinking green can save us green! And Norwex certainly does this. We save money by not having to buy many cleaners and sprays over and over again. Our cloths with just water clean well and remove up to 99% of pathogens without the need for disinfectants that have bad odors and should be used with gloves, many of which still have unknown side effects.

The more we use reusable products the more we are helping others, loving our neighbor as ourselves, and we are keeping the environment for the generations to come. It's a win win for everyone!

Why I Love Norwex!

If you're visiting my blog and do not know me, my name is Emmie Manor. Recently God opened a door for me to become an Independent Sales Consultant for Norwex. I'm just starting out and want to share with you why I love Norwex so much.

When I first heard about Norwex, I was skeptical. Then just under a year ago I ran into my friend Jessica who told me about it more in depth and decided to give it a go. I've have never been so impressed with the cleaning ability of a product. And best of all, all that is needed is a Norwex cloth and water!

I have 6 children outside of the womb with another on the way, so lots of cleaning always needs to be done. With Norwex, I don't have to worry about chemicals that are dangerous in pregnancy or for kids to swallow. If I need a child to do something, they can wet a cloth and go clean!

Because of the way Norwex is made, when used as directed it picks up 99% of the contaminants on surfaces and the silver in their material cleans the rag killing the germs on the rag. As a science person, I never really thought this possible, but last winter as soon as a child got sick, we cleaned everything with Norwex, and stopped the exposure with the 3 people out of 9 who had already been exposed! That was all we did differently.

I have also been able to clean spots off of walls that had been on my walls since moving in and could not get off with anything else. As soon as I tried Norwex I was sold and the more I've used it, the more I love it.

I'm grateful God has allowed this product to be made as I believe it helps in so many ways. It saves time on cleaning, it saves money on cleaning material, it saves health by not having so many untested, unhealthy chemicals in the house, and it helps with the environment as we are reducing the amount of plastic in landfills.
