"The next day he (John the Baptist) saw Jesus coming toward him and said, 'Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.'"
In the Old Testament, perfect lambs were a big part of the sacrificial system in giving a sin offering. When John the Baptist saw Jesus, John recognized Him and told who Jesus is. Jesus is our perfect Lamb, the Lamb that takes away the sins of the world. He was sacrificed for us. His blood covers us!
Thank You, Jesus that You are our perfect Lamb!
